Maria Saba - Urban Jungle 2017-2022

Urban Jungle, is a photographic series that evokes the relationship between body language and the urban environment. Primarily focused on public spaces in both Egypt and France, Saba questions her ‘place’ within these various sites, illustrating the tension between the public, the private and the self. Through the positioning of her body, without a focus on the identifiable features of the face, the body becomes a mass that moves, that is not still, and is in dialogue with its environment.
