Amr Elkafrawy - All Glamorize on the Eastern Side, 2022

Deeply inspired by the German photography duo Bernd and Hilla Becher and their seminal work on the disappearing industrial architecture of Europe and North America, Elkafrawy’s photographic typology examines the newly developing architecture of Cairo and the power mechanisms behind it.
‘All Glamorize on the Eastern Side’ is a series of 20 laser prints on recycled paper with charcoal and ink. Each unique work measure 60 x 80 cm.
